Readers should know when a recommendation could earn this site money.
The intended business model
PickMeNot plans to use affiliate referrals to support its software-comparison work. An affiliate link is a link through which a merchant or affiliate program may track a referral and pay a commission if the visitor takes a qualifying action.
The Amazon disclosure below applies to Amazon affiliate links. Enrollment in software-specific affiliate programs has not been verified, and this page does not mean that every link on the site earns a commission.
Amazon Associates
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
This disclosure applies to qualifying Amazon affiliate links. It does not establish an affiliate relationship with any software vendor discussed on this site.
What an article should tell you
If an article contains affiliate links, it should say so clearly before its commercial recommendations. The disclosure should explain that PickMeNot may earn a commission from qualifying purchases or actions through those links.
We do not promise that using an affiliate link leaves your price unchanged unless that is verified for the relevant program. Check the vendor’s current price and terms before buying.
How recommendations are made
The comparison criteria are the buyer’s needs, documented capabilities and limits, pricing, and the practical trade-offs. A commission is a business incentive. It is not evidence that a product is suitable for you.
Our standard is to recommend a non-affiliate option when the evidence supports it, explain meaningful disadvantages, and say when neither product is a good fit.
